Kupfer, Launch Applications Via Single Command Window in Linux!

If you want to run lot of different applications on Linux, I mean a lot of applications... by using a single command window (more like the classic Gnome launcher, but way powerful) then you should not miss Kupfer which stands for "convenient command and access tool".

As said, not only launching applications such as web browsers, e-mail clients such as Thunderbird, Evolution, Google search, G-mail, Rhythmbox player, picture managers, etc, you can even start using Twitter functions thanks to a separate plugging called Gwibber!. So not only the app it self support massive amount of applications but via pluggings, you can expand its usability as well.

In the past it did not support LibreOffice, but with the recently introduced v204, now it even supports LibreOFfice. So if you want a serious "command center" ;-) app on your Linux distro then Kupfer deserves some attention.

How to install Kupfer on Ubuntu using PPA?

First open a terminal and issue the following commands...

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kupfer-team/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kupfer
