How Install RealPlayer 11 In Ubuntu/Linux

First of all, why the hell you want to install RealPlayer in Linux when you have MPlayer or UMP for instance?. Well, I've had better performances while playing WMV or Real videos using the RealPlayer in comparison with the others (sometime ago to be honest).

But on the negative side, unlike with the Windows version, you won't be getting a lot of feature with the "11" version, but if you want to install simply because you want it! (who am I to tell you what to and what not to do anyway :) ), then open your terminal and issue the below command.

wget http://www.real.com/realcom/R?href=http://forms.real.com/real/player/download.html?f=unix/RealPlayer11GOLD.bin
sudo chmod +x RealPlayer11GOLD.bin
sudo ./RealPlayer11GOLD.bin

Now from the main menu choose “Applications–>Sound & Video–>Real Player11″ and you should be greeted with a wizard when you run it for the first time (it is pretty easy to setup... so no worries).
