How To Install LMMS (Linux Multimedia Studio) in Ubuntu 10.10

If you're a professional music creator and would like to know if there is a free alternative to the widely used (one of the best actually) FL-Studio, then LMMS is the answer. Although, personally I love every type of music... but sadly, even though I'd love to, I can't create music :(. But, as said, if you have a thing for music and recently switched to GNU Linux, then LMMS is a must have!.

Yo!... ;-)

Main features...

*. Song editor.

*. Beat-Bassline editor.

*. Piano-roll tool for pattern editing.

*. Lots of effects and instruments.

*. Track based automation and computer based automation.

*. Comes with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

*. Live recording.

*. Dj Mixing tools!.

*. Import MIDI and FL-Studio project files!...

In Ubuntu you can easily install LMMS using a PPA channel. To do that, open your Terminal and issue the below command/s.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tobydox/lmms
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install lmms

Going to have to try this one out. Audacity is good but not great for my needs. Now let's see if I can get it to work on Ubuntu 11.10!
