System Load Indicator for Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal

System load indicator is another simple PC resource related indicator that is aimed at Ubuntu Natty Narwhal. According to the developer this is still in beta stage + haven't been even released a PPA channel yet, but he had sent the package for Andrew at Webupd8 for testing.

As with any other system indicator this will also let you graphically "see"....

*. CPU load.

*. RAM usage.

*. HDD usage.

*. Swap space related information.

*. Network... etc are among its main features.

You can also manually set its colors according to your preference as well. It actually looks very similar to the one that comes with Gnome desktop but since in Unity you can't use it... this will most definitely come in handy. The installation is also pretty simple. Just download your version (32/64-bit) from below and simply double click on it.

32-bit

64-bit.

It's great, but it disappears after a reboot? Any ideas how to make it permanent?

@Matt,

There seems to be a PPA available (I was reading the webupd8 few min ago) have you tried the PPA version...

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:indicator-multiload/stable-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install indicator-multiload

if this not work for you to fix that issue... it could be due to a bug :(

@Matt,

Have you tried adding it to the start-up applications?? (so it'll be running when the desktop loads)
