How To Install The Fast Loading Guayadeque Music Application on Ubuntu

Now there are a lot of music applications for Linux. Although they all look basically the same and does the same thing but some needs more memory or CPU while there are others that runs light on your PC's resources, but most of the time they lack "features".

But Guayadeque is a fast loading music player which uses the Gstreamer front-end and even when you fill it up with thousands of audio files, still it performs better and faster than most others, and still retains a beautiful GUI as well.

So if you're fed-up with your current music app for Ubuntu, and there is a possibility that we may not see the Banshee shipping with Ubuntu due to some recent conflicts, so if you're searching for an alternative, then Guayadeque could be the answer. So open your terminal and issue the following command to install it on Ubuntu (10.04 or later).

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:anonbeat/guayadeque

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install guayadeque
